Lata Hariharan

President/Co-Founder, SVAST Inc. President and Co-Founder of Svast Inc., a healthcare marketplace for the global under-served, and leads its strategy. She spearheads alliances with leading international hospitals, insurance providers and international government bodies. She was nominated for the Orange County 2020 Annual Women in Business Awards.

Lata is very passionate about helping women and has started multiple groups, locally and virtually, where the focus is to mentor and create an open atmosphere for dialog. She serves on the boards of SAHARA (helping South Asian survivors of all forms of abuse in Southern California) and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.

Svast was founded by Lata with her co-founder in 2018 with a mission to bring healthcare to the global underserved. Since 2019, the global medical travel platform has helped patients from 16 countries get more than 3000 critically needed procedures in leading hospitals.

Prior to that, she was the CEO and Founder of Resource Leaders, a market intelligence firm. She created over 400 business and technology white papers and research reports for her global technology clients. Her work has been featured in fDi, the investor magazine of Financial Times, Global University Venturing, etc.

Lata was the technology leader for the second largest telco, MCI (now Verizon), including leading the BT/MCI merger and MCI/Stentor alliances where she was involved with building the largest Fraud detection system in telecommunications space using artificial intelligence, statistical and advanced mathematical models.

She received her MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Kerala, India.
